-- FullCharge NiMH battery (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=9330)
The power rating on this battery is pretty low...
I looked at the specs and one thing struck me: the FullCharge's NiMH battery is only rated at 550 mAh. This is pretty bad considering that you can get 650 mAh everywhere now, and one person on this forum reported seeing 700 mAh batteries.
Currently I'm using 550 mAh batteries and I have to recharge/swap them about every 5 days. I was planning on getting 700s, but I think I'll just get the 650s since I can't find 700s anywhere. If you're a heavy user like me, you should probably consider this factor...

For those who are interested I am using NiMHSet to adjust the voltage thresholds, etc. for use with NiMH batteries. I was unable to find a hack or other app that would not require me to manually go in an re-set the battery type after a soft reset, however this app (does not require Hackmaster, and is freeware) seems to do the trick. It has been working well for a month or so.
You can download it from PalmGear:

I also use Runtime to track the time the batteries last, but lately it has been giving me trouble (not tracking the time accurately). I have yet to determine if this is related to NiMHSet, so if you really want Runtime to work you might just want to watch the performance with NiMHSet.

I ordered mine shortly after I got the news release on Friday. VC was down and I could not get to it for several days, which was strange.
I got the full kit with the car plug, since I plan to use this with the Handy GPS when I am on the road, so this is a perfect combination to keep the unit traking while I ply the miles away.
