Cool

All the critics of the Visor say that the hard plastic cover is unwieldy, hard to use, etc. What they don't seem to understand is that it enables the Visor to stay in one of the Handspring Cases w/ out velcro, something that palm pilots can't do. Alright, it's a bit tough at first, but I'd rather have it any day than have to put velcro on my Visor and Springboards!

Cool

The hard plastic cover of my Visor seems to have developed two cracks in it, right from the base of the tab at the top that snaps on the unit. It seems to me that this is somewhat related to my normal use of the unit from opening it up and the like, as I have never dropped it. The unit itself is in good condition as well. I have really had no problems with physical damage to the unit.

Just today I did encounter a rather weird experience. Using the unit in the morning, nothing unusual, I noticed that the battery was about 85-90% charged, everything's under control, situation normal. This afternoon when accessing the unit, I noticed that the battery indicated at the top was not full. As a matter of fact, the picture I saw was that of the outline of an empty battery, meaning the battery was completely empty. The unit would still go on, although whenever I used any applications it would shut down as I pressed anything. After doing a hard reset, the unit would not even go on until I put fresh batteries in. With fresh batteries, it is functioning perfectly (knock on wood).

Has anyone had any experiences such as this?

Exclamation

I'd be on Duracell's/Energizer's/whoever's case before i'd be on Handspring's case about this incident. It sounds like you spent money on some dud batteries...i've seen this happen before...brand new package of batteries that last for a VERY short time.

the bad thing is there may be no way to prove it to the battery company!

Unhappy

Believe it or not, today, before reading this post, I noticed cracks in my hardcover. I also noticed what seems to cause the notch at the top of the visor to crack, not from opening it, but from the case resting wrong. Check the topic I just posted for more.
