looking for good (free) proxy server...
I'm looking for a good (free) proxy server so I can share my neighbour's cable connection... any tips?

Do files get embarrassed when they get unzipped?
Wouldn't it be easier to just get a hub and hook up it up to the router? I may be wrong, but I thought proxy servers were meant to filter and/or cache the web, not necessarily share interent connections.

ToolKit:
The cable modems may be something completely different, but our DSL modem is actually a router with dhcp build in, so we just hook up a $20 hub to it and we're off an running. I'm assuming the Cable modem would have to be a router as well, but it may be some sort of proprietary thing that prohibits its use as an actual hub-friendly router.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

And I don't think you can hook up the cable internet straight to a hub....
I used to have a proxy-server running back home, but forgot the software we used.... (this was for sharing ISDN but should work simular..)
