-- Rhinoskin 2000 case and modules (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=3665)

Question

Anybody know how well the RP 2000 case handles the Visor plus a Eyemodule in dock onto the Visor (all the time), and storage of additional modules in the case?

I just received my Rhinoskin 2000 this week. There is definately room for the Visor with an attached eye-module. There are also a number of other pockets for additional Springboards, I'd guess 3 to 4. It is a little BULKY though, and I'm not sold on using the hard cover to attach the Visor to the case.

I finally got my EB slipper today, and am waiting for my Rhodinia cace. I'll be doing my own case-to-case-to-case comparison.

Good luck!

Another quick thought. The elastic straps hold the hard cover, which the Visor then snaps into. With the eye module in place, you would not be able to snap the visor into the hard case. I imagine though you could use the straps to hold down the Visor with the module. This is definately not secure though. Maybe not the best solution.

Ah - You are a reviewer after my own heart. I buy and return after side-by-side comparisons.
I'm not clear on the hardcover business, but I'm new to HSV units.
I'm hoping to use it like the RP 1000 that I use for my Palm currently: I leave it on my belt at all times, and unzip only the top
area so I can pull the unit out, and drop it back in when done. I'm hoping the 2000 case can work the same way, with the Eyemodule on
there when I'm with my family, and keeping 3-4 Springboards in the case. It might be bulky but I wanna try this setup. I don't know if the Eyemodule will fit the other cases you mention if it is on the HSV all the time. Thanks very much for the chatter.

It's an awful thing for me to say but I just don't like the look of the Rhinoskin RhinoPack 2000 ... don't hate me, but something this cool needs something a little more urbane to suit me.

PDACamper . . . if you are just using the Rhinoskin 2000 to slip you Visor into and out of it will work great. I'm assuming you attach it to your belt with the looks on back, because there is no belt clip.

Nah, not awful thing to say. I have Rhinoskin 1000 on my belt, and I wish it something urbane too. Something not 'too business' at the same time. Can I have something in-between the two looks?

For a case for HP 680, I found something in-between the two looks http://www.pc-room.co.jp/EX-LIMIT/M...C/HPJ680_BB.htm

Now...what can we find for Visor that can hold EyeModule ("docked in Visor") and hold Springboards that's "in-between"?
Wish I could make it and market it, eh?

Yes, I have the 1000 case on belt like that. I saw someone that had converted the loops to a clip; that's a lot of workmanship. Only problem is slipperiness of the Visor if it's like the plastic on my Pilot 1000. I've taken it out of the 1000 case 'naked' as such, and dropped it. I've been meaning to ask the Forum if anyone knows of any very slim rubberized strips that I can stick on a Palm-type device (to mimic the rubber on the Casio E-100). That would help the grip.
On other hand, I don't know of a case that would keep the Visor with EyeModule in dock that would be a 'work-through' case, do you?
