Unhappy ClipKee - E-Mail from Etherage

Following the release of two separate mini keyboards, I sent an e-mail to Etherage, the makers of ClipKee, regarding the availability of their offering. Here is their reply.

Thanks for asking about ClipKee.

To be honest, I would buy the Seiko unit if I were you. I hate to
lose a sale for EA, but in reality, the iPAQ and m500 versions will
be first. We've signed a deal with a larger company to manufacture
and distribute the ClipKees, but this move has cost us probably two
months of time. The first ClipKees won't be available until December
or later, so I really can't expect you to wait that long. For a
reasonably small amount (~$50), you can be enjoying the basic
benefits of the Seiko keyboard right away.

Our plans for the 802.11/CF versions are only solidifying for the
iPAQ version right now, followed again by the Palm m500. I don't
have any details about the Handspring version.

Thanks for asking. Sorry we can't satisfy you sooner.

Wow! If I were in the market for one of these, I might wait for this one just because they're so straighforward. It's a nice comparison to ThinkOutside, whose delays and misinformation about their Edge Stowaway were a factor in my switch back to the brick form factor.
