frozen screen

After performing a hard reset to correct a battery charging issues (per Handspring instructions), my Edge has freaked out. The screen is frozen with "gibberish"/static. I've tried soft, warm and hard resets. None of the buttons or the screen interface is functioning. I have no idea what to try now.

HELP!

Try letting it sit out of the cradle in this state overnight. It'll probably become totally discharged. Stick it in the cradle for two hours, and in theory it'll be fine. Then just be really careful about static electricity. Just a thought.
