Fellow Visorphiles,

Whenever HotSync gets to the syncing datebook part, the program runs into an illegal function and consequently freezes up. Ive tried disabling the datebook conduit and HotSync worked just fine leading me to suspect that my datebook.dat file is shot. Could anyone refer to anyone who could do the debugging for me???
Ive checked the Handspring site but failed to see how they could help me with this problem.
Could the old datebook app (from my old Palm III) still residing in my VDx's memory be causing the problem? Or could the numerous hacks ive installed be wreaking havoc on the built in apps?

With the VDx containing the next sixty years of my life, you can imagine how close I am
to being a stark raving lunatic.

Thank you guys in advance.

Pilmico (DateBook3 or Datebook+) has a free utility called "dbScan" (should be on PalmGear). It has a function to check and clean up the Datebook database; you might try that. It also can delete the redundant shortcuts that happen when you soft-reset.
