Exclamation

Has anyone used the presenter-to-go yet? Is it even available for sale. I am interested in running complex powerpoint presentations with graphics and animations and am wondering if this module will work for me.

Has anyone used it at all?

Haven't seen one yet

Haven't used the module but I have seen information that says that the fancy animation that you can put in PowerPoint (all of those flying arrows and fadeouts) are NOT supported.

I am interested in this product as well and sent a message to their technical support about the degree of compression of the presentations. They said that the files are compressed to 65% of their original size. As I have lots of images in my presentations (some as large as 13 Kb) I would like to see a module with 8 megs of memory instead of 2!

I think that this is one of thoes modules that will become much better in a scond generation. Right now it's a good idea, and it's nice to see that it can be done, but It needs a few more features for it to become relay practile such as:

1. removeable storage (MMC or SD seem to be the favord memory expansion for visors)
2. more robust processor
3. a tad bit cheeper.

Seems like not ready for primetime

I did some more research on the companies website and it appears that the module doesn't quite yet perform the way we would need it to. They do have a free giveaway a month you can sign up for. For free instead of the high price they are asking for it I am sure we can put it to some use...

If anyone actually has used one of these please post and let us know...

Thumbs up Presenter-to-Go

I have used the Presenter-to-Go module with a Compaq digital projector and a Power Point presentation. I am pleased with the way everything works. The setup of the software is easy, the use of the module in the Visor or Prism (used with each)is a piece of cake when connecting it to the projector. The remote worked fine.

My colleagues and I plan to use this new tool often for PP presentations that are not using audio and video on a regular basis. Sure beats lugging around a notebook - even a Toshiba Portege.
