hotsync madness - help please!

Just bought a new Visor deluxe, but the hotsync (USB/ on a PC) was wonky right off the bat. I have to wiggle the visor around in the cradle and find this certain specific position before it will sync. Once every so often, when my Visor feels like it, it will sync perfectly on the first try. Then it will be wonky again for the next couple days.

I was wondering if anyone was having similar problems, or had any tips for me...
