does viking compact flash cards work w/memplug cf card adapter? i would like to know because i think i am going to buy a memplug cf card adapter to back up a 16mb visor. and on amazon.com it doesnt show if it is a type I card.

Probably not. Most Viking cards are based on Lexar controller chips that do not work with any of the current CF adapter modules.

what about the viking sm cards for a memplug sm adapter? i saw a 32 sm card for 14.95 at amazon.com and it said it was specially formated for palm and adapter devises

SmartMedia card without any hardware controller in it.
AFAIK, MemPlug-SM is compatible with all 3.3V SmartMedia card.

Viking CF

It is correct that the Lexar (mine was the 64) doesn't work with the Innopocket FlashPlus (I know you're asking about the Memplug) because I've tried, but the Viking 128 I bought has been working in it. The Viking, to my relief, was recognized right away.

I've heard rumors that the newer Lexars with that USB support (?) feature are the ones that have given fits to the innopockets and matchbookdrives.

You can view the CF compatible list from our webpage and our forum.

And according to our users, both viking and lexar CF card can function well on Platinum and Edge but not on other visor devices.
