-- Can hardware up/down buttons be configured to turn on and run progs? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=2914)
Wasn't sure if this should be in HowTo or Software or Developer, so I put it in the general category.
Like the subject says: Is there any way (software to use the hardware up/down keys to turn on the Visor and run different programs? If not, can anyone develop on, or is this physically impossible? (e.g. keys not wired right?)
And if this hasn't been done and isn't physically impossible, is there any other practical reason why it shouldn't be done= (e.g. when you put the visor in a standard case it keeps pushing the up/down keys)
Take a look at CoLauncher (http://www.mapletop.com/#CoLauncher). It allows you to reassing all hardware buttons and add some graffiti shortcuts. It's only a few dollars and I've been running it without trouble for several months.
Holy Cow! You're the greatest! Or maybe I should save the compliment for the person who developed the program. I love this BB as well! Thanks loads!
(Do you use the 2x function a lot? Being able to launch 39 apps through the hardware keys is great, but I think that my brain reaches saturation with about 8.)
