-- How to make an image for display on Visor (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=2563)
I have a small graphic file that is in both .gif and .wmf format on my desktop PC and I would like to get it into a format that I can display on my Visor.
Does anyone know of a tool I could use to "translate" the file so it will display on my Visor?
Thanks in advance-
Terry

i recommend these two programs.
they have worked for me since december without a problem. The view has a daily 10 second countdown (shareware) but once you've viewed one image, the countdown disappears for the day.
enjoy
Thanks Hoser_in_USA- My next task is to edit my image a bit so that it will fully fit into the Visor screen w/o needing to scroll.
Appreciate the tips-
If you want pictures to fit exactly into the Visor's screen, you might want to try AlbumToGo (available from www.clubphoto.com)- it comes with a Windows software that allows you to just drag and drop the JPEGs and automatically turn them into images for the Palm/Visor. However, for GIFs and other formats, you still have to use a photo editor of some kind and convert them into JPEG format.
Best of all, AlbumToGo is free.
Oh yes, a colour version of AlbumToGo is now bundled with the Palm IIIc

Yes, AlbumToGo works like magic.
It also gave me a snappy comeback opportunity the other day.
I was showing off my Visor, and one of my co-workers disapproved of it. She said that my poor wife was probably now a Visor widow, sad and neglected since I got a new high tech toy. She then said that if I really loved my wife, I'd have photos of her in my Visor.
I quietly started up AlbumsToGo, set it to the photos of my wife, and handed it to my co-worker.
Boy, did she shut up quickly!
But she also did look at the Visor with new respect...
Thanks for all the advice - very helpful!
What about the streaks and the refresh rates?
the images looks shaky...
how did you guys fix it.
try one of the 'streak' hacks...
