-- Linux Hotsync (USB or Serial?) (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=2034)
Hey, has anyone managed to hotsync their Visor with a Linux based machine? Either via serial (or preferably) USB bus? If yes, what did you use (jpilot, kpilot, etc?) and did you have to do any specialized kernel hacks?

I have been happily hot syncing with both pilot-xfer and with kpilot. The trick with kpilot is that kpilotDaemon must be running for kpilot to function.
That said, pilot-xfer seems much simpler and more straight forward to use.
jaytee, Are you syncing via serial or USB?
I've performed a PalmPro-to-Visor brain transplant using serial cradle, Linux, and pilot-link. No problems (well, except that I had to give up BatteryMonitor
)
Not yet. I have the parts but am too lazy to build the serial mod for the usb cradle. However, work is underway on a usb driver for the visor in Linux.
