-- Otter Box Woes! (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=12453)
Well, the first 'indestructable' thing I have noticed about the Otterbox is the damned sticker that was on the lid. I peeled it off as best as I could, but it has left a residue of gummy sticker-stuff that rubbing alcohol, soap, water, and old fashioned 'elbow grease' just cannot seem to get off.
Any suggestions?!!!
Steve
I held the otterbox under hot water and rubbed off the sticker using a washcloth. It takes a while to get the gummy parts off.

....peanutbutter?
Funny, my peeled off with no residue. Love my OB
However, I've had lots of luck with that TV infomercial crap for other similar situations. It's called Gum-out or something like that. It's just a citrus based cleaner.

a little WD-40 will do the trick also (and most people have it at home already -- bonus!). spray on...let it soak for a bit...then rub off. you may want to clean it with some soap and water afterwards just to get rid of the stinky smell.
Try Rubbing Alcohol
I've used this to remove tape glue residue from mic cables.
