Prism Sync Problem

I recently upgraded my laptop to XP. Since then, PDAsync won't launch when I hotsync my prism and my computer. I've reinstalled both programs after uninstalling them. I've even contacted laplink re: the problem, all to no conclusion. Any suggestions from this group would be appreciated.
