Question

I have been usind a Visor Delux for a few months, and love it. Recently, I just bought one for my wife, and we have run into a problem with email. We both use Outlook Express 5.0, and have different identities in that program, we are also set up as different users in the Palm Desktop program. When we hotsync, all our email is combined and put on each Visor.

I am fairly computer literate, and can usually figure work arounds for problems like this, but this one has me stumped. I have tried setting passwords on each email identity, using different email clients, changing defaults, but nothing has worked.

What I really want, is to be able to hotsync and get just my mail and for my wife to be able to do the same, without having to change settings or defaults.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Help will be greatly appreciated, thank you for reading.

Vince

the only way i could think of getting around this at home was to set up personal folders. and when we sync our email, we just make sure to stick our mail into our folder so that when the other went to sync later on, our mail wouldn't be in the 'inbox'.

when you're syncing, you're only getting you mail off the internet so it should sync to only your visor. once sync'd move it to your folder.

We just learned to keep the inbox empty.

While it would cost you some $$, one of you could opt for a third-party e-mail client. Then you'd have the option of syncing directly to your POP3 or IMAP mail server. Assuming that you would still want to process most of your e-mail on the desktop, an IMAP server would be your best bet as IMAP works better when you need to maintain the messages that you wish to keep on the server (for access from both OE5 and the Visor). Not the POP3 won't work, but you have to be alittle more clever about setting the default behavior of your mail programs.
