Read it and weep:

'We regret to inform you that shipment of the HandyGPS has been delayed. We
are expecting a shipment of upgraded hardware in the near future and at that
time we will start our shipment process again. You are our first priority
and will be the first to receive shipment when we start this process. We at
Nexian care about our customers and understand that this will be an
inconvenience for many of you. We apologize for this delay in shipment. We
will return your payment this week.'

They sent me email and left me a message on my answering machine. I'm bummed. I wonder what they mean by 'upgraded hardware'?

I While I have to give them credit for the good cummunication, this is starting to remind me of when I waited forever for my Visor.

What a bummer! I'm not getting HandyGPS but I'm anxiously waiting for my MiniJam so I understand your frustration. Why SpringBoard manufacturers tend to give us unrealistic shipping dates? At least, they let you know about the delay(on the phone & e-mail!!!). InnoGear was totally silent until I sent them e-mail.

am i getting hosed again? i received the handygps about 2 weeks ago and it wouldn't work very well (difficulty tracking the satellites and it would keep locking up my visor). so i wrote to nexian and they told me that they've been experiencing "isolated" incidences with some visors locking up and told me to return the unit.

i wonder how "isolated" this problem is. alien's email is shedding some light on this subject. this is a guess, but i'm starting to think that this problem was more wide-spread than they say it is. that's probably why they've had to upgrade their hardware.

regardless of the problem, i've waited a long time for this thing and now it looks like i have to wait longer.

I just got the same email that Alien got. When is the Geode shipping again?

I happened to receive an unsolicited letter from Innogear dated Aug 7 explaining that the MiniJam is on backorder. So check your mailbox, Taki, they may have sent you something.

Question

Swendor, I didn't get the e-mail...unless I deleted it inadvertently before I saw. Did it say anything as to why it's backordered?

Taki, I'm talking about snail mail not e-mail. And it goes like this:

"We are sorry to inform you that some of the merchandise you ordered from us is temporarily out of stock. The items listed below are presently back ordered. We are working quickly, however, to ship your complete order at the earliest possible date. We will automatically ship your order when the merchandise arrives if we do not hear from you. You may of course choose to cancel you order at this time, or select to substitute another item. If this is the case, please complete and returned a lower portion of this letter to let us know. Thank you again for letting us serve you."

Did anybody else receive this letter?

Swendor, I looked though my junk-snail mail pile and I found it! I thought it was junk because it looks like from a company(Rush Orders) that only does shipping, not from InnoGear. Someone handwrote InnoGear on the envelope. Is it common practice to have someone else ship products?

Question

Uh, is it a coincidence that the Navicom web site is down????? This doesn't pass my smell test.
