-- how to make V. dlx into rechargeable unit? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=25302)
I have no idea whether leaving the Visor in the cradle when the computer is off has an effect. The official line from Handspring is that it doesn't have any effect (and in fact the only time leaving it in the cradle drains the batteries is when you have the Visor turned on), but I have a suspicion they're wrong about something -- I could swear I get more battery drain than they talk about. But as for when the computer itself is off, I don't know.
you say the cradle was cramped? you don't have a serial cradle by any chance?
Hmm...well, lets just say I'm gonna stick to only putting the Visor in the cradle when my computer is on...haha
I'm just disappointed that the batteries are a little messed up, I dunno what went wrong...but I'm gonna try and just get a new set.
Haha, as for the cradle, I have the USB cradle. I'm just saying...I had to solder on two sides, and with almost no extra room, so it was a little tight for me...since it was my first solder job. The Visor...only had one solder point, and on the other end I could hold it with my fingers
