Well, I had only had my Visor for a little more than two weeks, when I accidently dropped it a few days ago. When I picked it up and looked at the screen, I saw that it was cracked in a few places near the top. I played with it a little and noticed that although the LCD screen was in perfect shape, the touch sensitive glass that covered it was very messed up. The Visor would recognize my tapping with the stylus, but would keep coming up with the "adjust contrast" thing or something else I didn't want.
I figured that it would be almost impossible to get the screen fixed, (and I called up a few computer repair shops just to make sure) and I was almost ready to just go out and get a Palm Pilot..but I figured I might as well call Handspring. The very confusing and unknowledgable coustomer service guy said that they would send someone to pick up my broken Visor (yeah right...) and would send me a new one in 4 business days. I doubt if that's the truth, but I guess I am willing to wait a few days.
Has anyone else been clumsy enough to break their screen already?

I haven't dropped my Visor, but noticed after 2 days of using it the screen is now scratched from using the stylus. There are 2 small scratches in the writing area.

I've been very careful of keeping the screen clear of dust and such, so this was a surprise.

Why not make the best of it? Take a Photo of it and submit it to the Palm Graveyard: http://www.palminfocenter.com/graveyard/

You'll be the first person to submit a dead Visor to them!

Angry

My Visor came broken back in early October. Long story short, big run around, promised I would have a replacement in 4 days. They would charge me for the replacement until the broken one was received.

Result, just got off the phone with my credit card company because I was sent two replacements (charged of course), and have not been credited 3 weeks after they received my return.

Red face

Well, I am still waiting for my replacement. The customer service guy (who sounded like he just wanted to get me off the phone) said 4 days, but it has already been five-he also said that they would "send someone to pick up your broken Visor", whatever that means.
Has anyone else been told "4 business days" for repairs or replacements...and did it actually take that long? I think I am willing to wait just a few more days, and then I am just going to go out and get a Plam Pilot!
(The soft case I ordered for my Visor came 2 days after I broke it. What luck
