Hangspring Flash ROM
I refer you to the story on the sister site http://www.treocentral.com/content/Stories/124-1.htm .
This article seems to also allude to Handspring putting flash ROMs in the Visor series, Platinum & Prism in particular.
Thoughts?
How to find out if you have a flash ROM unit? And what can one do with it?
there was much discussion here last year about the presence of Flash ROM modules in Platinums and Prisms. I don't think it was ever established that the wiring or hardware was present on those units to enable flashing. Some people reported running tools like jackflash to check, but I don't believe they ever worked.
