I think that Quicken and Money should be loaded on a Springboard. This would allow for a true handheld personal finance app. You could keep your entire account register in the Springboard memory. You could also transfer all of your accounts instead of the dozen or so that most pocket finance packages now allow.

What do you think?

Thumbs up

I'd buy that Springboard. It would be great to have everything from Quicken (categories, history, etc) on the Visor. Throw in a few graphing/reporting capabilities, and that would be quite an app.

Quicken already exists, albeit in "Pocket" form. Get it at landware.com

I would certainly buy a Money springboard. Loading all of the information and a program for this into my visor would not be my first choice. The whole idea of the visor for me was to have the ability to swap this programs in and out since I can't possibly hold all my wants at once

Am I understanding the platform possibilities correctly that the springboard would allow info and the program to be saved on the springboard and loaded as needed?

Yes, I believe the springboard platform will allow you to store information on the cartridge. That's one of the neat things about the architecture.

A Landware Tech makes regular posting in the deja.com pilot forum, and he said that they are working on a new version of Pocket Quicken. I hope they will have a Springboard option.

Landware Tech's posting:

"Yes, in fact we are working on the next version of Pocket Quicken, which will contain a number of new, exciting features. If you have your own wish list of features you'd like to see in the next version, please feel free to send them to me at [email protected].

Send him some email requesting a Springboard Pocket Quicken. That would be a killer app if it can hold the desktop register.
