Are all Plat shell casings warped?
I'm on my 2nd Plat and have noticed that the plastic case is bowed or warped at the bottom right side of the screen (previous Plat too), which causes a noticable gap between the screen and the casing. Has anyone else noticed this and if so, does it seem to cause any problems?

It's happened. Search through the discussion board. A quick search found me this. I know there are more. If it seriously bothers you, I would get it replaced.

Thanks dietrichbohn! I was beginning to think I was crazy. I tried to return it to BestBuy with my 3-yr extended warranty, but the department manager said that nothing was wrong with it and that he'd never heard of such a problem with the Platinum. Since he pretended to be such a Handspring "expert," I found it humorous when he had to hand my Plat to a clerk and ask him to test the Graffiti input since he didn't know how to make the letters!
What search thread were you using to find these probs?

Handspring Customer Service to the Rescue!
I called HS customer service this afternoon and within about 45 seconds, I was told to expect a replacement Platinum by tomorrow. Now that's customer service! I won't waste my money and/or time with BestBuy, their extended (useless) warranties, and "Jughead" managers! Once a VERY loyal customer, BestBuy has lost me for life!

Bad News, then Good News!
Received my new Plat from HS and sure enuf... the case is warped at the bottom of the screen. The next day, I took to another BestBuy in the area and they accepted my return without a hitch. Since they no longer carry the Plat (discontinued), they suggested I pick out another model with my $299 credit (orginal Plat price). I must say I'm thrilled with my new Prism - I should've done this long ago!
