Palm Desktop 4.0 - how does it work for U?

Handspring seem to be taking their time releasing their version of Palm Desktop 4.0 for Mac OS X and Mac OS 9.x. I just read a post about duplicate entries being caused in the DateBook on the Mac and I also went looking for native Mac OS X conduits - I can hardly find any. For my money, I am sticking with 2.6.1 until the conduit makers get their act together. It is a chicken and egg situation though - the more people who demand the conduits because they are using PD 4.0 will drive up demand.

What Mac OS X conduits are available? I use Entourage and AvantGo and Desktop to Go. It looks like none of these are available now.

Anyone got an opinion about whether I should go ahead and use Palm Desktop 4.0 for Mac OS X with my Visor or wait until all the problems are ironed out?

PS I hear that there is no support for user level access in Mac OS X built into Palm Desktop 4.0 and that uninstalling it is nightmarish.

Did Palm rush this out too soon?
