-- It Ain't Just HandSpring sigh (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=3458)
About 10 days ago, I ordered a Devian DVP3M case for my BVDx from Devian.
I was told it was in stock and I would have it in 4-5 days.
WONDERFUL, I thought. Then 6 days later, nothing, 9 days later, nothing. So I called. "Sorry sir, we don't have the ability to check order status but if you give me your name and number I will have someone contact you from Customer Service". No call.
Sound familiar?
Well I decided to send e-mail to their sales e-mail address. Today I received a phone call from Devian. They forgot to enter my order. Many apologies and they would ship it out right away priority mail and the shipping would be on them. In fact they called twice, the second time to confirm the shipping address.
Well if I get the case in the next two days, I guess I will be a happy camper and I have to say, their speedy reply to my e-mail was much appreciated. Any one can make a mistake. Devians quick response makes up for the fact that no one could actually check order status for me when I called. It should also serve as a model for Handspring
on how to smooth ruffled feathers. Quick response and an understanding voice at the other end of the phone go along way to soothe the savage customer.
Once I get the case I will post a bit about it and let those that are interested know if it is a good deal.
Here's another story that makes HS not look so bad...
I ordered some Pokemon stuff for two of my sons from toytime.com in early November of 1999. Plenty of time for Christmas...not!
Here's an e-mail they sent me...
quote:
Thank you for your order. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has cancelled
our order for the following item(s):
Quantity Description
2 Pokemon 2 Pack-Metapod#11/Butterfree
As a result we will not be able to fulfill your order. We do apologize for
the inconvenience this has caused you.
The friendly folks at ToyTime Customer Service
I strongly recommend etoys for all your online toy orders (www.etoys.com) I have always found their customer service to be excellent and very polite. Not to mention they have a TON of stuff! And no I don't work for them or own stock
