MemPlug Update

Looks like PI has released V1.62. Several bug fixes listed, included the AirInsight Conflict that I have heard mention of.

Most interesting is the need to delete the PiBackup Folder and run a brand new backup. Also interesting is they have now seperated the SmartMedia Version and the CompactFlash Version. They may have done this before and I just did not notice.

Anyway, just thought I would post this and let everyone know. I just finished the download and I am about to install.

Dave- I'm getting this exact same error!! it's bugging the **** out of me becuase thje only way to get past is a warm reset, and the warm reset disables the network options of my visor (so I can't use thinmodem! )

Pi - we need an immediate fix for this - it's serious!

Hi,

Have you disabled PiDirect before update, as specified in our readme files?

There are 2 possible ways to lead to the above problem.
1. After Update, PiDirect is not compatible with some program in your visor. (It should not the be case, as your PiDirect already function well before the update)
2. Your update failed.

If case 1 is the problem, try to warm reset. Go to PiDirect, and click "Disable after reset", Soft reset your visor.

If case 2 is the problem, warm reset. load the updater to your device again, use the eraser downloaded from our webpage. Redo the update process. (Remember turn off any hack master programs and over-clock utility during update)

If the above still doesn't help.
Please contact our support team. [email protected]

Thx.

Red face Memplug Problem

I just acquired a MemPlug SM from CDW and it came
with version 1.0 of everything. I put in a 2 MB
SmartMedia card that I had on hand (while I wait
for my 64 MB card to arrive). I can move files
into the card, no problem, BUT I can not move
the files back into internal memory. I upgraded
to version 1.6.1 and now 1.6.2, but none of the
versions were successful in moving a file back
into internal memory - the PIMover just gets "stuck"
and the progress indicator never progresses beyond 0%.
I am using the MemPlug on a Visor Prism with no
hacks installed or any other modules or add ons.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hi,

As MemPlug is designed for 3.3V SmartMedia card.
Please make sure your 2MB smartMedia is not 5V standard.

If you still have problem in your 64MB card. Please free feel to contact our support team.

Thx.

Cool Wow! Quick response!

Wow! I am impressed with the speed of response by your support staff. The 2 MB SM card is 3.3 volt, but it came with my digital camera, so probably not high quality (I can't even tell who made the darn thing). Any way, I also had an 8 MB 3.3 v SM card in the camera, which I took out and tried in the MemPlug. I was able to transfer a 125k file onto the SM card and back into internal memory. I will try larger files once my 64 MB card arrives.

Does anyone know where we can find a compatibility list of software for the PIDirect application? Maybe we should start a thread on this as it would help me (and possibly others) decide whether PIDirect will meet our needs.

THanks again PI Developer!

Nice to learn that your 8MB card function seamlessly.

For the compatibility list, our yahoo forum has the compatible list database free for member to edit.
The objective of that database is same as your proposal, to allow user to share their experience in using PiDirect.
Please feel free to utilized it.

The number of application support by PiDirect is far more than the application tested and list in the list now.
