I'm thinking of trading up from my Platinum (had since mid-Dec) to the Edge. However, there are some things currently holding me back.

First, I have (and use reasonably often) a Stowaway. I really would hate to lose the ability to type full-speed into my Visor. What is the latest report on a keyboard for the Edge?

Second, has anyone tried syncing an Edge under Linux? I can't imagine that anything has really changed, but I'd be sorely put out if I got one and it didn't work under Linux.

Finally, what is the rumor mill currently saying about a color Visor with an Edge form factor? If I could get a color version sometime, say, this summer, then I'd probably wait.

Anyone with information or comments?

The current Stowaway is not compatible with the Edge due to a different cradle connector being used on the new Visor. ThinkOutside is supposed to be releasing an Edge version sometime in early summer, I believe.

Since the hotsync software hasn't really changed any, it should still work under Linux if you're currently already using it there.

As for the rumor mill, I can't say. I'd love to see a color Edge myself...
