Visor stopped Syncing on XP - the answer

So, my wife went to sync her visor yesterday and it wouldn't. The sync dialog would sometimes come up, but always ran insanely slow, and timed out.

Eventually, I figured it out, so I thought I would share the answer. I foolishly had installed a pci udma 66/100 card, and moved my hard drive over to it. The card grabbed the same irq as my usb root, and clobbered it. It somwhat worked, but the bandwidth was terrible, and something wouldn't work. After I managed to move the card to a pci slot which grabbed a different irq, all was happy.
