Red face

Before I call Handspring I wanted to ask a quick question. I have an IVD. Everytime I hit the bottom right of the screen, the area above the calculator button, I get the calculator. It is really annoyng. I tried to go through the welcome sction to see if I could re allign the touch surface and it did not help. Do you think my unit is defective? I guess I should probably call handspring.

I was having the same problem but it occured mostly when I used a certain program like smartdoc where the scroll botton is right at the bottom where the calculator is. I just reassigned the calculator button to be the smartdoc button under preferences and it temporarily fixed an annoying problem. Until I have another program that does the same thing of course.

Talking

I have the problem with the phone book program. As soon as I scroll down I hit the calculator. How did you reassign the button?

Angry

Since my last post I just got off the phone with Tech Support. They told me this is not a visor specific problem. It happens in the Palm Pilot as well. There is nothing that can be done. The guy I spoke to told me I shoudl use the scroll button on the fron of the unit instead of the on screen button. Basically the guy was as helpful as a dead piece of wood. Now what? Any of you that have had the palm have this problem?

Go to prefrences and then click buttons on the pull down menu. You can sssign any program to any button on the graffiti area.

Previous posts have suggested the following remedy:

Go to the digitizer to recalibrate and 'miss' the lower, right-hand 'X' a little bit low. This 'fools' the Visor into thinking the screen is slightly bigger than it actually is. I have tried this, and best I can tell it works with no adverse reactions.
