dumb question that has nothing to do with visor, but how do you get the picture associated with your name every time you sign an e-mail?

thanks

Edit your profile and use a vbCode IMG... /IMG tag in the Signature section. Just remember to use a small, tasteful image

How do you make the picture a link? I tried:

[url=ADDRESS][img]PICTURE[ img][ url]

(with the appropriate addresses and slashes) but that didn't work. I guess I'm not thinking very hard...

I couldn't do it with the new vbCode, either. I think for a true link, you need to use regular HTML tags... I finally gave up and used the images by themselves...

Here's how you do it:

Add a <A HREF="http://mysite.com/~mypage">[ img ]http://...jpg[ /img ]</A>
to your sig. That adds a link like I've got. If you need a blue link border around the image, use <IMG SRC="http://...jpg" BORDER=1> instead of the img.../img tags. That's right--if you use the HTML tag there is no end tag.

And you have to use the URLs I gave you. You can't change them. [insert Pointy-haired boss laugh here]Bwahahahah!

If you need any further help, just post another reply.

Great, thanks! Is there any way to make it open a new window when clicking on the link. I hate clicking links (like these) that don't leave the current page where it is.

Just add TARGET=_Blank after the URL text in the A HREF tag <A HREF="yadayadayada" TARGET=_BLANK>

Thanks. I think it is about time I learned some more HTML.

Question

Thatch/Tim,

What is that cool looking handspring item at the bottom of your post. It looks like a mini portable t.v. I went to the handspring page and quick scanned but didn't see anything like that. Thanks!

IT appears to be a StarTrek Pad, with a HS logo phtoshopped onto it.

I can't believe that I know this, but technically it is called a "PADD".

Thankfully I forgot what the acronym stands for.

Ugh. Now I have to go watch five epsodes of Babylon 5 for my penance.

I believe (and I may be wrong) that it is "Personal Access and Display Device".

Oh no! It looks like I have to watch every episode of "Crusade" to pay for knowing that one......
