I have a webcomic. You should read it, or I may do something rash. Drive-by Loitering is updated every monday, wednesday and friday.

i've never been able to get a decent answer to this question from anyone. on forums or from the companies. i'll take that as a no.

btw, those are some big a** headphones you've got. i just bought a pair of these and love them.

I've tried several mapping programs, and here's what I use:

Mapopolis - same looking maps (color is nice) as the Magellan CD - but I think there are more maps than just the US. This costs like 40 bucks for a year of downloadable maps. They have a county locator that is also VERY useful. You can save your points, search by landmarks, or address/intersections with PERFECT results. You can create easy to read driving directions just like on yahoo, with words or a blue line. The paid maps are sometimes large in size, I downloaded all counties for my trip from Austin to St. Louis (about 6 megs), and stored the ones not needed on the Memplug. You can't get lost using this combo (unless you don't have your map somewhere handy) see next for this problem

if i need a map on the fly, i just connect the phone, and using GPS Pilot Atlas program, I can download a map over the phone for whatever size area i want - useful if really lost (but you better have a digital signal) -

I bought the Magellan when they first came out, and was worried because of the unreleased Geode and all it's promises. Thank God I did the right thing - it works very well, except inside the house sometimes.

Canadian Maps for Palm GPS

Mapopolis 4.

I bought the Toronto Platinum+GPS map for $9 USD and it's quite sexy.

Even though it's 1.5MB on your handheld, when combined with the Magellan, it's excellent.

Cheers
