Angry crack near power button on visor deluxe

there has been a long thread about the cracks that form on the visor cover, but I am having a slightly different problem - a crack has formed at about the 4 o'clock position on the case by the power-button. Over the last month or so it has slowly gotten worse and now has connected to the Calendar button. The power button has all but stopped working. I've come across one other account similar on a web site, and a colleague with a similar visor is also developing the same crack.
For the record it is a blue visor deluxe, about 1 yr old, never dropped.

Anyone else seeing similar problem?

Actually, search the archives for 'case crack'. This is fairly common. The translucent plastic used on the deluxe doesn't seem to hold up well for many, especially when carried in a pants pocket.

Unhappy more cracks

My original Blue deluxe case developed cracks in the same area you mention. Handspring replaced it with a new visor Free of charge (just within 1 year waranty) but now 4 months on the new unit is also showing a crack alongside the power button. I saw that gethightech.com sell graphite visor cases. I think these may be made of different plastic from the other colours.

Me too

My Visor DLX is in for warranty repair right now because I got a crack next to the power button and have to hit the button a number of times (or really hard) to get it to turn on.

Seems to be a more common problem than we would like.
