-- How to swap visors with someone? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=13710)

Question

Let's say you've got two people, each with a visor, but they want to swap visors with each other. How would you go about doing that? My friend who is in this situation tried to hot sync his wife's (the person with whom he is swapping) visor on his computer at work and it didn't work (even though it was AT work! Get it!? at WORK - didn't WORK - ha ha!.... sorry... <ahem!>) Anyway, they want to completely swap all of the data on each visor, and change user settings and all that, so how do you do this? Is that clear as mud? Can anyone help?

Thanks!

If both units are fully hotsynced with their respective desktops (including a BackupBuddy type backup of all installed apps), then doing a hard reset on each unit will clear them. Once they're reset, set them up as the other hotsync user id. Then, hotsyncing Visor A with desktop B and vice versa should restore everything from the respective PC's.

I hope this is clear enough to follow... It would essentially be the same procedure as setting up a new Visor. Check out this FAQ from Handspring.
