-- Prism and Stowaway (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=14169)
I read in another thread somewhere that connecting the Visor Prism to the Targus Stowaway is not quite as simple as the instruction book makes it out to be. I remember them saying that you had to really push it on the connector. I am a little weary about applying too much force when connecting the two. It appears the Hotsync connector on the Prism is connected to the PCB and wouldn't survive much pressure. Has anyone modified their Stowaway to make the two work together better, or did I just purchase an "irregular" Stowaway?
No problem
I have an original Stowaway and a Prism. They work well together. I don't recall having to use excessive pressure to get them to work together.
I used my Stowaway on my friends Prism with no noticable differences from my VDLX.
They work great.
I just purchased a Stowaway for my Prism and the only thing that I recall is that it would take more pressure the first time you attached the Visor the the keyboard. Not sure why, but after the first time, it has been easier since. I have used it for several weeks now and have been very pleased. I do not feel there is any danger in the way it connects.
