-- Hard Reset and Backup Module (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=8046)
Before telling someone how to do a hard reset on another thread ( http://discussion.visorcentral.com/...hp?postid=48280 ) I thought I'd try it since I never had before.
I backed up with my Backup Module, did the hard reset and noticed a couple of things.
1. It took me a couple of tries to get the hard reset that prompts yes/no. Even though I had the power switch down, I often only got a soft reset. It seems like you need to hold the power button for a little while after hitting the reset button, but not too long.
2. After the hard reset, I was shown the usual introduction screens. But when it asked me to enter the current date and time, it showed current data! ( When I left the batteries out long enough, the date/time came back as sometime in 6/99.) So a hard reset does not clear the date/time.

I think the clock is a seperate part that is independent of the RAM, so that makes sense it not reseting as well.
One thing I have noticed (and I noted this in the Backup review) is that Launcher III loses the location of the apps after a restore. I have to resort my apps then (not too big of a deal).
