Going to Chicago in a week...How to get on the Internet with Visor???

Hello,

I'll be going to Chicago in a week and I am trying to research ways on getting on the internet via just the visor.

In the past, I have used free services such as NetZero with my laptop and use their software to connect. However, I want to ditch the laptop and just use the visor. Is it still possible to use on of their free ISP's??

Anyone have any suggestions? It must be a local number in Chicago.
thanks!

I'm assuming you've already got the modem ready to go....

If so, try checking out this site for info:

There have been several threads about free ISPs. Don't think netzero will work. Bluelight has worked for me.

Juno works great. Just use RASspy. I gotta warn you, it may be illegal and I consider it unethical to use RASspy to connect ALL the time, but once in a while is OK I guess. Just click some links on the desktop version or something to even it out.

We just got back from a vacation in the Windy City, and I found Vindago to be really fun and helpful! I also got some great schedules and documents from Memoware.com by searching for Chicago.

The AvantGo CitySearch channel for Chicago and some of the other channels I tried were also OK.

Connection to modem

Just to make mention of the process of connecting to the modem - if you happen to have an external modem already and don't want to buy a springboard modem.

All you need is a cable to connect from the Visor to the modem. A PDCH-M2 from

www.pcables.com

works nicely!
