Angry Strange Error Message on Beaming...

What does this mean?
"Power Manager:
Beaming has been temporarily disabled because the combinaiton of features you are using requires more power than is currently available.(Pwr 1E03)'

I get it everytime I want to beam, or recieve.

I get it regardless of the hacks I have running (or not). Anybody else ever gotten this warning?

Are you using a neo? I have heard that the neo has had beaming problems if you use the Battery changer by doing .7

If not, is there anything plugged in? If you are using the Visor in its cradle, or connected to a keyboard, or maybe even using a springboard, it could disable beaming.

Error message explanation

This error message just means that your batteries are low - you need to charge them. IR uses lots of battery (it is actually a form of heat that gets transmitted). Charge the unit or swap the batteries and then go in to General Prefs to turn on Beam receive again. You may have to Soft Reset.

Also, people have reported problems with Neos and beaming when they have installed NiMH batteries and changed the setting to indicate this (the .7 mentioned above). If your batteries are charged, try changing to alkalines using the code given above. Please see this thread for a discussion of this problem.

Unhappy It's a Neo

Yeah I am using the Neo.

I went ahead and took out my NiMH extend recharge and repalced em with plain old Alkalines.

Does anybody know if this would be a problem with rechargable alkies?

Thanks for all the help so far.

Shouldn't be a problem with alkalines. If you would like to continue using your NiMH, simply tell your neo that you are using alkalines before you beam. Then change it back after you are done (so you have an accurate voltage and don't end up loosing your data). You can do this with the .7 command or, a program called battery panel . With battery panel, simply select alkalines, beam, then when you are done, change it back. In the thread that I posted the link for, a lot of people were doing this.
