Do the Visors/Palms support automatic time adjustment when going from DST -> Standard Time (and vice versa)?
If not, are you aware of an app/hack that automates the process?
Thanks

A solution that does not require Hackmaster is DST Panel.

It adds a new panel to the Prefs application, allowing one to enable Daylight Savings Time.
Isn't The App Onboard?
Not sure about yours, but my VDx shipped with an app called CityTime. In it you can select your home city, add a certain number of new cities, and tell CityTime where a given city is located. There's also a selection box to automate/not changeover to DST.
citytime app
Which version of CityTime are you using jazzlover?
Thanks,

City Time Version
Hi Handspringer,
jazzlover is correct. I have CityTime 2.1H which just came with my new Visor, and under Edit Cities, there are options for DST for each city. Not only a great feature, but a useful reference for time zones and what cities use DST!
I stumbled on this thread trying to figure out if I really needed to use a hack for DST. I love these message boards.
Well, this is wierd. I got a Visor when they first appeared, have the same version of City Time that you do, have my City set up for DST automatic, and it never has automatically reset the time on my Visor for me as we passed from Standard to DST or back!
I think I'll rely on one of these other things to make sure that the time gets updated!

I think this has been discussed before but CityTime doesn't adjust the Visor for DST. It only adjusts CityTime, meaning it puts a little 'star' next to the city name when DST is in effect. It makes no adjustment to the system time. Mine is set to auto adjust and all that but it doesn't adjust anything *except* the little 'star' appears in CityTime at precisly 2:00 am on the day that DST goes into effect. The time does not skip ahead to 3:00 am.

I concur with winchell and davis689. I tried the DST Panel download winchell points to, and it really works. It is 7k, and locates itself in the prefs application. It automatically adjusts the system clock in the visor. Before I downloaded it, I changed my system clock to 1:59 am on the last sunday in April 2001. City Time did not automatically adjust the visor clock, only it's own program (the little stars). If you know how to do it sluggo, let us know.
