Worn Screen Fix

Hi,
I've got a couple of small areas of worn screen on my Prism. 2 Small patches 1/2 the size of a dime -- one in the graffiti writing area at the screens bottom and one near the top right of thescreen. They don't appear to be scratches so to speak, but rather worn areas.

Does anyone know of anything I can do to treat the screen to reduce / remove the worn areas?

thanks

Non-responding Screen Areas

Same type of problem on a VDX where the screen doesn't respond to the stylus. Any ideas?

Actually it's not quite the same. The screen does respond to the stylus, I just don't want to wear it down more and would like to clear it up if possible.

The worn Grafitti area can be easily protected by the 'tape trick'- put some 3/4" tape over the the lower edge of your screen, and the tape will protect you from further wear.

Many people swear by the 'Scotch Removeable Magic Tape, #811' in the blue box, but most of us have also been OK with other tapes. There is some concern about removeability of other tapes, but it you leave a corner 'unstuck', it makes it easier.

"Frosted" (invisible or 'magic' tape) feels a little funny at first, but many say that it will be OK after the slightly sanded surface wears a bit smoother.

People have also uses the sticky part of a Post-It note over the Grafitti area successfully.

The spot higher on your screen is a bit harder. I would suggest skipping the 'tape trick' and getting a good, full-screen protector. These have been discussed to death, but I personally highly recommend the "Brando" screen protector (www.brando.com.hk)
