My hotsync is no longer working. I use the USB cradle. Last thing I did was install the mail app. (It didn't work right so I disabled it). However, I can no longer sync. Any thoughts?

I am having a similar problem which you may be experiencing. For some reason, HotSync will all of a sudden not respond to the cradle. The only solution I've found is quitting Hotsync and then reopening it immediately. Then it works fine. I am trying to figure out what triggers this as it seems random. It happens overnight a lot (I leave my computer on all the time) and all that I have running is Seti@Home. When does yours give out? (hmmm.. maybe Aliens control my cradle..... )

I had this same problem when i firts got my visor. I posted a similar question in another forum and was told to do a soft-reset on my Visor. I did and BINGO it took off and I haven't had any problems since. However, I have my mail disabled also and I haven't tried to re-enable it so I have no idea if that is part of the problem or not.

Thank you. Soft reset did it. Yea!

For me if I ever hotsync without the hotsync manager running, I end up having to reboot the computer to get it to later function correctly. Not that big a deal, but I wonder why it happens in the first place.

I had problems too, I have win98 second edition and after MUCH re-installing of the USB support, got it worked out. It kept asking for a file I didn't have on my win98 CD... oh bother!
