-- Problems with IR and Touchscreen (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=10332)

Unhappy

I just received my new Prism for Christmas and I am having problems with it allready.

First problem:

The IR seems to not want to recieve beaming from my Visor Dlx. I am tryng to beam over a program and a business card, but the Prism is causing my Dlx to produce an error that says the units are not at the right distance or mis-aligned. The IR on the Dlx works just fine when I beam to another Palm.

Second Problem:

The hand recognition is a little off AND when I use the stylus to press the OK button or another button on the screen, it does not engage. It seems as though the Prism is not recognizing the command. Also under scheduler +, I cannot use the various calendar views - which could be a symptom of the error I am having with the screen recognition. I tried the digitizer but nothing seems to fix it.

All this is discouraging because now I have to call customer service for them to send me out another one. I will insist on a new one and not one that has been refurbished - this is a day old unit after all.

If anyone can provide insight into these problems it would be appreciated. Thanks

Try the Prism update patch.

For your first problem, ensure that Beam Receive is ON on the Prism.
