-- italian leather case? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=7600)

Question

I remember reading on one of the forums about some rather expensive but nice Italian leather case for the Visor (or maybe it was for Palms)... and after many attempts at searching the archives, I can't seem to find it. So can someone point me to the website for those cases?

http://www.franklincovey.com has italian leather cases...we bought one for my fiancee's dad recently (Palm III) and it's nice.

Could you be thinking of the Argentine Vaja cases (what with all the Italian names in Argentina)? If so, details are at:

Nope. I know about the Vaja cases. But I remember someone mentioning cases that were actually made in Italy, and I remember going to an Italian website. They were a bit more expensive than the Vajas - around $100. I have a friend who wants to see the site since she's crazy about real Italian leather.

Also, they weren't the Franklin Covey type cases, they were the more form-fitting type, along the lines of the Vaja or Slipper.

Could this be the case you are thinking of?
http://www.rva.com/ I know that it is not a Visor case but it is the only Italian case I can think of that I have seen recently.

HTH,

Matt

Yup, that's exactly the one I was looking for. Unfortunately, I guess they don't have Visor model just yet... maybe soon?

So? I don't know why most people think magnets are bad for palm devices. Palm Pilots don't use any form of magnetic media to store files. only hard drives, floppy disks, ZIP disks, and the like would be effected the very strong magnets.

I think the concern is not so much the Visor, but rather the other things you might keep in the case. If you keep some credit cards in the case, the magnetic closures might interfere with their magnetic strips...
