Question

Ok, I realize that it is mostly an issue of personal style, but I have been reading information about cases for 3 solid weeks and I'm no closer to picking one (wish I could try them all out). I thought maybe if I listed my "wishes/requirements," you experienced visor users could give me a hand choosing.

I don't really need a belt clip. My visor will generally be in my hand, in my briefcase, or in my purse.
The case doesn't need to fit in my pocket, but does need to be small enough to fit in my purse.
I won't use my visor case as my wallet.
I don't plan to go white water rafter or rapelling with my visor, so it doesn't need to be quite that strong.
I work, but the job isn't so conservative that it *has* to be leather.
I don't want to spend a small fortune (ok, I do, but my spouse would prefer that I don't).
I don't want to put velcro on my visor or use the snap in type of case.
I really can't stand the case it came in so I want to get something relatively soon (i.e. don't want something I have to wait 4 weeks for it to ship).

I have been considering one of the Fossil cases http://www.fossil.com/retail/produc...%5FID=ML2012001
So, if you have any feedback on that one it would be great.

Otherwise, what you you suggest?
TIA!

Hi, this might not be quite what you're looking for, but I just posted this on another thread and thought I would offer -- dave

--------

Well, as wierd as things happen -- I think I've found a case that I can live with.

http://www.compusa.com/products/pro...uct_code=280207

It's actually a case designed by Case logic to hold a CD player and/or accessories. When I stumbled on it today at Comp USA -- I was very impressed with the possibilities for PDA storage. Of course, I travel an awful lot -- so I'm not interested in a super super slim protective case to clip onto my belt -- but rather something to organize my Prism stuff.

For my Prism, I use a tri-fold case sold by Handspring -- which keeps my Prism, credit cards, drivers license, etc. But this case allows me to very neatly keep:

- Prism in its case
- Targus stowaway keyboard
- Eyemodule2 (in its case)
- 2 spare modules
- Handi-use screen wipes
- Portable road Prism charger
- Portable hot-synch cable
- Thinmodem cable
- Cell phone
- Car keys
- Boarding pass

I know, I know, sounds a little silly -- but if you get a chance stop by CompUSA and check this thing out -- it's only $19.99 -- best 20 buck I ever spent

Lightbulb

I had the same dilemma...all of your "requirements" sound so familiar!! I ended up purchasing the black Ostrich Vaja case, and I couldn't be happier. I get so many compliments, it's so gorgeous. Go to:

http://www.directcase.com/cgibin/thatsanorder?show|197|Cases_for_PDA's/Handspring_Visors/Visor,_Deluxe,_Platinum

You'll have to cut and paste that link.
That will take you straight to the Vaja at DirectCase.com. I was foolish and ordered mine straight from Vaja in Argentina, and it cost $15 in shipping...Aaaargh! You can go to the Vaja website to see more specs for it, but I wouldn't order it there. Direct Case has FREE shipping too...as far as I know.
The web page just doesn't do it justice either... I was pleasantly surprised when I received it. Love it Love it. Did I say that yet?! I can almost guarantee you'll like this case.

Good luck...post again when you make decision

P.S. The Fossil case looks to be almost identical to the Vaja in style and design. However, you'll be much happier with the Vaja. It's made better and will last much longer. Pay the extra money and you'll have it that much longer. Plus, I've never had good luck with Fossil products. Their durability isn't the greatest.

Talking Thanks for the feedback!

I decided to go with the Vaja; ordered Friday from Directcase. I got it today and it is very nice. I was a little disappointed that the graffiti imprint was not on my case (maybe only on the ones direct from Vaja). I think the plastic is going to take some getting used to and I probably won't be putting the little sticky pull tab thing on my Plat in order to take it out of the case (I didn't want to stick velcro on...). I stuck an old credit card into the front flap to give it a little more rigidity. At any rate, thanks for the advice!
