-- Question with ActionNames & Datebook/+ (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=2415)
Hello - not sure if this should be in Software as it's more of a "how do I" than a question about WHAT the software does.
Anyway, I am on a trial license for Action Names, a datebook, todo list and contact list all rolled into one. It's exactly what I want. My problem is that appointments with alarms to warn me when the scheduled appointment is approaching(say 15 mins ahead) show a screen both from Action Names AND from Datebook. How do I turn off the Datebook ones so that I only get the Action Names ones?
The manual for action names is no help and the web site knowledge base is next to nil. I just don't want to have to hit "ok" twice for each appointment.
Thanks for any suggestions

Do a search for Double alarms and you should find other posts about this.
Problem is, I don't know if the problem has really be resolved (I have the same problem, so I know what you're going through.)
I've fixed the problem I posted about above - Go to the site for Datebk3 (the people who made Datebk+) and look around for Visor apps. They have a "mini-app" called DatebkStub which will mask the alarms from the ROM Datebk programs. (In your visor, it will actually take the place of the Datebk+ program so you will probably want to remap your button functions to Action Names)
A quick test seemed to work - got only the Action Names alarm and not the double alarm.
Good luck.
Quick reply to my own post.
Not sure the above works - I got double alarms today at the office, so let me know if anyone gets it to work.
Would it make a difference if the appointments are created in Outlook and then synched as opposed to those created directly on the Visor??
