GeoDiscovery/Visor Setup Help! No Sat Lock

Recently picked up a Geode GPS springboard mod. When I plug it in the software loads(ver. 1.4 beta} but no GPS sat lock or compass setup! I have the GEOfirmware updat 1.3. Should I force downgrade the springboard mod??? I have tried dumping the software on my handspring/then reset,but every time I reinsert GEode it loads 1.4 beta geoview and sits. I can't keep my visor to stay on longer than 3 minutes. GEode mod has new bats as does visor. Lights blink internally on Geode but no LOCK. Any ideas out there!??
