-- Graphic of Graffiti strokes? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=2604)

I'd like a graphic of the Graffiti strokes like on the sticker supplied with my Visor.

I'd like to incorporate it into a homemade cheat sheet that I would compose and print myself. Then laminate it and slip it into the clear sleeve of my Rhodiana case.

Does such a graphic exist?

it's in the visor manual (on the cd-rom that came with your visor or from handspring's website)

There is also a Graffiti font available for Windows... I just don't remember where it can be found.

Nhatman... I looked in the manual first. It does contain the Graffiti strokes but not in a compact, concise format like the reference sticker. I do like that the manual contains alternate strokes too, but it won't allow me to do what I want.

MarkEagle... I found the Graffiti font on the PalmGear website. I may use it if I can't find anything else. I didn't intend to create the reference card from scratch, but it might work out better in the long run. Thanks!

BTW, I did send a request to [email protected] asking the same question. I didn't tell them I was a Palm user however...

A looong time ago, when I was looking at the Palm organizer, I made this quick-and-dirty Graffiti chart. It doesn't have the Euro symbol, but the rest should be correct.

But why do you guys need the graffiti strokes sticker? To find out how to write ANYTHING, just do a pen stroke from the bottom edge of your screen all the way to the top and you'll get a graffiti help screen. It works no matter what you are doing.

James... Thanks for the pointer to your graphic. It's perfect in concept, but fails in execution. I'm still searching... BTW, what Palm unit did you make it from? My Visor graffiti hints don't have the Alpha/Shift/Extended/Accent/About buttons at the bottom. Is this from an older OS version? I notice the menu and movement commands are missing.

Tan... Why do I need it? Well, I want to make something with more than just the basic graffiti strokes. I want to include some useful dot commands (like for enable and disable beam receive, disable power-off, etc...) But I would like to have my cheat sheet include the entire contents of the sticker while I'm at it. A graphic of the sticker would have been an easy out.

As for the pop up graffiti hints, I HATE using them because the ones I'm looking for are always the special characters (like # that I can NEVER remember) and they're invariably three or four panels in. I wish I had a nickel for everytime I brought up the calculator when I was trying to tap the page forward arrow. And since I'm in a graffiti writing mode, pressing the up down buttons (which on the Visor are NOT concave) isn't natural.

It would also act as an educational aid to the curious that are always asking me what I'm doing, and does it recognize *my* handwriting. I could flip over the cover and show them without interrupting what I was doing.

Anyway, I looked at the graffiti font and I think I can create exactly what I need using it. I was hoping for a graphic of the sticker, but I'll bull ahead, make my own and post it somwhere...

Thanks for the feedback.

I got that using the PalmOS emulator for the Palm III. You may use screenshot hack to capture those screens.
