-- Loose screen?? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=3074)
I have a brand spanking new IVDx here, and with no effort at all I can move the screen from side to side about 1/16th of an inch inside the case. Is this a common problem?
wondering...
For what it's worth, mine moves also, but not 1/16". I think it's normal.
Hey all,
I'm still waiting for my IVD,
Someone please tell me this NOT the norm,
I don't know how I feel about any slop in a electroic anything that cost that much.
Mine does not move at all. That sounds like a pretty annoying problem, and I think there would be more posts about it if it were common.

My screen slides around, too - BVD - and it does concern me - It is a solid unit, with good fit and finish EXCEPT the screen sliding deal. I am going to call CS at handspring and see what the deal is - we all do have a year warranty against stuff like this - I may take them up on that. I love the unit, and am completely sold on Visors, but I did spend almost $300...
I have a BVD and my screen is rock solid. No movement at all. I would certainly call HS about that. Doesn't the movement disrupt your handwriting recognition?

Also a BVD and no screen movement at all. If fact the unit is as solid as can be. In fact, more so than the Palm IIIx I saw at compusa

My screen is loose also.
It doesn't move side to side but the top left hand corner can be pushed in a little. It also moves if I shake it.
I've noticed this on mine also-top right corner mostly. I know what the issue is and how to fix it but will wait to peak to HS first on a replacement before I go the 'unauthorized' but effective route :-)

Will do! :-)
My screen isn't loose, but there is a one-pixel offset on the left (when I have backlighting on, I see this vertical line along the left). I'm living with it.
To be honest, I think a loose screen COULD be an advantage...a bit more play in the event of a fall. Just a theory, mind you...

BVD, not loose... i got it march 2000.... when did you guys buy your VDx's?
Homer - I have the loose screenn, just noticed it last night when I was shaking my hands and holding my Visor. But it is so small of a movement, I could care less.
But! I have the same issue you have with the pixels being off. When I use the backlight, I can see a line down the left side of the screen. I have just lived with it for fear of getting a refurb. I thought I was the only one.
