I don't think that would work. The Springboard sled uses the groove as part of its attachment method. I'm willing to bet any "Edge" Springboards would use this same method to secure themselves to the Edge, so the groove wouldn't be available for the flip lid to use. (Unless you hinged it from the bottom?)

Veggie Tales?

Hmmm. Maybe a little Dremel work on the Springboard adapter itself could give you a place to connect a flap.

Post Veggie Tales?

A little off topic, but since you asked... Veggie Tales is a well done, CGI based, kids video series starring Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber. (As seen in my avatar, playing the role of Sven the Viking) The series teaches some morals from the Bible (Old Testament so far) and is multidimensional and not preachy. They put just as much in for the adults as they do the kids. (They have some very Monty Python-esque bits in it. There is one scene I can think of where a Cucumber is grilling up a steak for lunch) As they put it "Sunday morning values, Saturday morning fun. My 2 year old daughter loves them, and thus, I have had plenty of exposure to them. (As my daughter pulls on my hand, pointing at the TV, saying "Bob, Bob, Bob.") Anyway, I've babbled long enough. If you want to check out more, see www.bigidea.com We now return you to your topic.

On Topic: Maybe Tactillis could work with Hanspring to have the Sled modified to accept their Flip Covers. Or maybe Tactillis could sell a Modified Sled and lid combo. It doesn't seem like it would take much to do....

Thumbs down

I got my Flip Clip combo in the mail a few days ago and I really don't like it. It doesn;t seem to attach very securely to the top of the Visor and the lid does not fit the Visor well at all. Maybe that will be better when the new lids are available. For now, it's just not useable...

Question

Sastian, are you alive? Has Tactilis gone bankrupt? I'm on the verge of buying a FlipCover!

Reporting back for general info

Just got my flip cover from flipcover.com

I'm as satisfied as possible. With the adapter, it attaches perfectly to the backup module I like to keep in it. (IT won't work with big modules that stick out like Visor Phone, EyeModule-but neither does Handspring's original cover.)

It looks just the same as my original prism cover, and works just as I wanted. I'm very satisfied. Tip: buy a couple of adapters and covers if you use more than one module. Once you attach it to a module, that has to be the primary way you use it.

Sastian...

It's good to know that you're still around. Hurry up, though! This clip cover is so annoying that I ditched it and just shove my Visor in my pocket without any protection. I was almost posessed to buy a FlipCover, but then I didn't like it because it's not Trek Communicator enough. Other than being slow... good job!
