Good point. It's great that we'll be able to quickly buy accessories without the wait, etc.

But, remember, for large purchases, I'm sure that the tax savings (via a net order) could wash out any shipping savings (via a retail order). Being that Handspring is shipping these items very fast now, I'll probably always ask myself, "can I wait?"

Where begs the question, why did I get charged tax living in Texas? I've ordered other things from out of state and not had tax added, but Handspring did. Anybody know what's up with that?

I believe that Handspring has a physical presence of some sort in Texas, as well as Kentucky, West Virginia and Massachusetts. They have to charge sales tax in those states for that reason.

I wish they would hook up with an e-commerce vendor like Outpost.com so we could buy products without paying the ridiculous Handspring shipping fees.
