-- Linux synch catch 22 (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=2190)
I will be using my Visor with Linux. Using Pilot-Link it should be possible to synch using IR, but here is the kicker: To do an IR synch you must install the IR patch on the Visor, right? So the patch will allow you to synch, but you can't synch until you install the patch!
I hope I can get Pilot-Link to work with USB. Then the IR thing won't matter. Wish me luck!

If you have windows as well as linux, get the USB running on windows, install IRSynch, then you should be all set and not have to worry about the windows any more. Just a thought
I stopped using windoze 2 years ago. Then 1 year ago I deleted it because it was wasted disk space. I don't want to go buy win98 just so I can load one .prc file. I will find another way. I will let you know how it goes.

Well, if you're up for running a 2.3 kernel with a patch (still under pretty heavy development from the sounds of it), you might check out the news piece about USB syncing on Linux.
