-- How to test IR? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=2849)
Okay, here's the deal...
My brother is visiting from Georgia, and I wanted to try beaming some info back and forth. Problem is, can't get it to work! I tried beaming something, he tried beaming something... both ways, our Visors would search, but find nothing.
What we checked:
- Beam receive on for both devices.
- Distances and line of sight were
both good.
- I CAN train and use OmniRemote with
my Visor (Brother doesn't have it
installed, so we can't check that).
What else should I be investigating?

Are you running any overclocking apps like AfterBurner? If so, there have been reports of this having negative effects on IR functions.

You da man Mark!
I turned off AfterBurner and
it cleared it all up!
Thanks for the help.
Chris
Actually I think that all you have to do is check the option restore ping time or something like that and Afterburner will work fine with the IR port.
